The festival is built around a deliberately retrospective concept, with three separate areas covering oldschool hardcore, early rave and the harder millennium sound that shaped much of the genre during the late 1990s and 2000s. Rather than concentrating on one current strand of hardcore, Raveolution has assembled artists whose careers stretch across different phases of the scene.
The Mainstage moves chronologically from oldschool into early and millennium hardcore. Its headline pairings include Angerfist versus Partyraiser and Neophyte versus Tha Playah, while Paul Elstak appears with MC Boogshe. Korsakoff and The Viper are also scheduled for a joint set, alongside The Darkraver versus Panic.
Several live performances strengthen the historical focus of the main floor. Catscan, Endymion, Noize Suppressor, Ophidian and Promo are all billed in live formats, with Human Resource, J.D.A., Jones & Stephenson, Potato, Reload-R versus The Rizzler and Stanton completing the announced programme. MC Ruffian hosts the stage.
The pairing of Angerfist and Partyraiser provides one of the most direct links between different approaches to modern hardcore. Both became major figures within the Dutch scene, but their styles developed through different parts of its evolution, making the closing collaboration particularly appropriate for an event centred on hardcore history.
The second area, Millennium Resurgence, concentrates specifically on the period around the turn of the century and the years that followed. The organisers describe this era through a darker, faster and more forceful hardcore sound, with a lineup featuring Mad Dog, Evil Activities, Tommyknocker, The Masochist and Meagashira.
That stage also includes Nosferatu versus AniMe, Dione versus Negative A, G-Town Madness, Distortion, Shadowlands Terrorists and Sceletor versus Sjek. MC Tha Watcher will host the area throughout the day.
For listeners who associate hardcore most strongly with the earlier rave and gabber years, The Early Dome offers another distinct part of the programme. Marc Acardipane is booked for a live performance, while Rotterdam Terror Corps will also appear live. The lineup continues with Ruffneck, Buzz Fuzz, Gizmo, Predator, Rob & MC Joe, Vince, Yves, E-Rush, Painbringer and Denz.
MD&A are scheduled for a hybrid live performance, while MC Syco hosts The Early Dome. The combination gives the area a particularly strong connection to the harder electronic music that developed through the 1990s and established many of the musical ideas later expanded by the millennium generation.
The three-area format is central to the concept of The Outdoor Reunion. Instead of mixing all periods of hardcore into a single lineup, the festival separates them into spaces with different identities. The Mainstage provides the broad journey from oldschool to millennium, while Millennium Resurgence and The Early Dome allow those individual eras to receive more focused programming.
The official timetable currently places Paul Elstak on the Mainstage from 20:30, followed later by Ophidian Live, Neophyte versus Tha Playah and the final Angerfist versus Partyraiser set. The Millennium Resurgence programme moves through Tommyknocker, Evil Activities, Shadowlands Terrorists, Nosferatu versus AniMe and Mad Dog during the second half of the event.
Raveolution is also using the outdoor setting as part of the reunion concept. Strand Tien gives the event a beach environment rather than the warehouse or indoor arena format commonly associated with hardcore events, with all three areas operating across the same 12-hour programme.
The festival is produced by Muze Events and is restricted to visitors aged 18 and over. Organisers have also partnered with the municipality of Oss and the Skip die Trip initiative around safer and more conscious nightlife participation.
