Open-air drum and bass marathon and sport entertainment near Kutina

The Sofia municipality assists with additional transport for the ninth annual Open-air Drum and Bass Summer Festival

The organizers of the annual Open-Air Summer Festival, which will take place on 3rd-5th July near Kutina village, announced some interesting details about the event. As it turns out, the versatile 40-hour musical programme will be supported with additional entertainment and initiatives present.

On the official festival website, http://fest.hmsu.org, voting for the mixing contest, which started in the beginning of June, is in full swing. For a record time of two weeks 30 mixes were received. Until now, more than 500 people have voted. The winner will have the chance to present his skills and selection in the peak of the first festival day.
In the Saturday festival afternoon, all hacky sack lovers can join in the hacky sack competition on web with a big prize – skyrunner equipment from Online Trading. Part of the prize fund will be formed by the revenues on the sale of hacky sacks during the festival. Everyone who wants to participate can sign up on the website or at the venue.

The fun goes on for all the gamers in the two game tents. In one, visitors can chop up virtual enemies in a Playstation battle, while drinking original recipe masala tea. In the other, they can find the traditional entertainment favorite to all generations – fussball (table soccer).
All of this will be happening in the sound system perimeter, so that no one misses a single minute of the favorite drum and bass rhythm. The hosts are reminding that the ninth edition of the Open-Air Summer Festival will put forward 15 foreign guest DJs, namely Taxman & MC Det /UK/, Capital J /Canada/, Audio /UK/, Break /UK/, Thrasher /Holland/, Dean Rodell /Germany/, Disphonia /Greece/, Harris b2b Kernelcoremode /Greece/, Numark b2b Abend /Greece/, Elephant Phinix MC /Greece/, Treo /Serbia/. All of this at the exclusive price ot 25BGN for a ticket (30BGN at the entrance)

The local angle of the festival programme is not to be overlooked. The name R.O.B.T.F. stands out – many people believe those are the founding fathers of the electro-accoustic drum and bass sound in Bulgaria and the region. For the special occasion, the much talked about recently producer Ivan Shopov comes back to Bulgaria from his tour in Australia. He will present his newest project Underhill – a collaborative initiative between Balkansky and Dean Rodell. The audience will also witness the performance of Kliment – the one at fault for the series of Atmospheric festivals, widely discussed worldwide for his new album released in London. The charming Error Beauty will also stun the crowd with vanguard electro breaks selection. 

For everyone with eco-oriented mind, free preforms that can be used as ashtrays will be distributed. The hosts promise free beer in exchange for a glass of cigarette-ends and trash.
On fans’ request, H.M.S.U. will continue the initiative to organize multiform workshop sessions. In the afternoon hours on the second festival day, various topical subjects, dealing with music, extreme sports and art will be presented. Everyone is invited to join in the discussions.
Additional buses on A27 trace, moving from Kutina to Ilianci neighbourhood, will ease the access to the festival in the period 3rd-5th of July. The time-table will be altered and uploaded on the website http://fest.hmsu.org. Bus A27 has a first stop in Ilianci Bus Station, located on Voenna Rampa str., in near proximity to the North train station.
