And now for something completely different. Don't be afraid, it's Cassino & Laben's debut artist album on Proton Music - the label's first full length since 2007.
The Italian duo, Andrea Cassino & Alex Laben, have been known most recently for a string of deep, techie releases on Particles where their fans have come to expect intelligent, analog sound design. Their first album takes things in a dubby new direction - electronic, downtempo soundscapes formed from interwoven spacey melodies and glitchy sound effects.
Any of these tracks would be great set openers, but taken as a whole this is a theatrical journey, a soundtrack to an imaginary film you'll want to hear from start to finish. Turn off the lights, don't be afraid, and enjoy the show.

too much good material here to comment on completely. there is reall depth here. and i love the overall tone and direction. a little bit heavy on the crispy cracklies, but i love it and it will have good company among my other edgy electronic home listening.

What an extremely pleasant surprise! "Overgrowth" is absolutely stunning, lovely guitar. "Walking Upstream" is also astonishingly beautiful, love it! A bunch of other genius tracks on here as well, for instance "Sistema Di Construzione", "Floating In The Clouds". Perfection!
