Lazersonic & Zak Frost

Taking you through the twilight hours and into sunrise, this is the sound of the perfect tripped out after party. Rooted in techno but travelling through house, dub and spaced out disco, this is minimal simplicity and groove, enhanced with hypnotic, organic, analogue layers.

Lazersonic & Zak Frost have recently been heavily tipped for the big time (DJ Mag, Data Transmission, HypeMachine et al) thanks in no small part to their legion of tastemaker fans including Bookashade, Tiga, Sasha, Munk, Duke Dumont, Joakim, David Guetta, Kissy Sell Out and Caged Baby.

Lazersonic has already been wowing critics with his solo releases for Air Recordings (tune of the month and hotly tipped in Mixmag) and production duties for Riz MC on Crosstown Rebels; Zak Frost is the man behind London’s infamous Nodisko parties and has released music on Dirt Crew Recordings & Moodmusic, as well as playing all over the world as a guest DJ.

With an eclectic wealth of experience behind them the duo are now set to go into orbit, following their debut release “Aquaplane”. Released in May 2009 on Turbo Recordings, the track was also featured on Turbo’s “Omnidance” album. Consisting entirely of an 808 drum machine and some analogue arpeggios, the track gained widespread acclaim - getting played on BBC Radio 1 and reaching the tech-house top 20 on Beatport.

Their second single “Thermionic” was released in October 2009 on Germany’s Gomma Records, and will also feature on Gomma’s upcoming “Dance Tracks Vol 3” album. In the words of DJ Magazine: "a cosmic treat of epic proportions, it's guaranteed to excite both house and disco crowds".

Meanwhile the third release “Levels”, featuring vocals from Ali Love (voice of the Chemical Brothers “Do It Again”) will be released in December 2009 on highly respected UK label Eye Industries, with remixes from Shadowdancer (Boys Noize).

Experience Lazersonic & Zak Frost every month on their radio show “Adventures in Stereo” on (Bulgaria), Proton Radio (USA), Pulse Radio (Australia), DFR (CZ Republic) and Radio Sound FM (Italy).
