Stoian Stoianov got into music at the age of six. He has a classical music education from National Music School "Liubomir Pipkov". At age of 16 his passion for electronic music drove him to start producing. At this time he met 4 guys that share the same passion for hypnotic sounds and they found the promotion called "Magrathea". The name came from "the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams, and it's a metaphor for "Creating different audio-visual atmosphere at every event", just like there are many different planets build on Magrathea in the book. This year he got involved in Play Events Management, a new "player" in the bulgarian electronic scene, known for it's "Ninja Tune Nights". Last but not least he manages Earthdance Sofia Festival which is the only event ever made in the hearth of National Park Vitosha.
Stoyan is one of the most versetile and skilled djs in Bulgaria. Having a classic musical education, his style ranges from house, trance, progressive, minimal to breakbeat and even liquid funk. He says. "I always try to combine deep rhythms with hypnotic synthesizers and dense bass-lines" . This multi-style mash-up has won him many fans, and a great respect from the other DJs and promoters in Bulgaria. He has been invited to play in almost every major club in Bulgaria, and on various open-air events.
Except for DJing he also perform VJ sets under "Radiant FX" project. It's strange but for the needs of promotion he self learned Photoshop, which was only the first of many steps that made him professional graphic designer. Now he works fluently with Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects – a needed combination to make fast sweeping, slow glowing, tech – style, real time visuals.
